Our Discord is connected to the server, so you can follow along - and even chat - without being online.
Chat both ways#
The Minecraft chat channel and the in-game chat are linked:
- Everything said in-game shows up in Discord, and everything you type in that Discord channel shows up in-game.
- In Discord, every name starts with an icon: 馃幃 sent in-game, 馃寪 sent from the website chat.
- Joins and leaves, advancements and server messages (tips, survival milestones, votes and restart warnings) are posted there too.
Your gear as a picture#
When you use a chat shortcut, Discord gets a picture that looks just like the game:
- [item] shows the item with its full tooltip: its name (a renamed item in its own colours), enchantments, item statistics and attributes.
- [inv] shows your inventory with your own character wearing your armor - dyed leather in your colour, armor trims in their real pattern and colour, and a glint on enchanted pieces. Your XP level is shown too.
- [enderchest] shows your Ender Chest.
- Shulker boxes show what's inside, and a menu lets anyone inspect each item.
Deaths#
When someone dies, the death channel gets a post with how they died, how long they survived, their last message and their main stats. Their death page follows on the wiki.
Bot commands#
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/stats | The same stats as in-game. Start typing and it suggests players and every stat: player: <name> for someone's main stats, add stat: for one stat, or use player: all for a leaderboard. |
/playerlist | A picture of everyone online, with their tags and ping. Typing playerlist in the chat channel works too. |
/status | Players online, TPS and deaths so far. |
/ip | How to join, on Java and Bedrock. |
Your team's own Discord#
Teams can link their team chat to a channel in their own Discord server - see Teams and /team discord.
