Discord Bot Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the One Life Hardcore Discord bot reads, stores and shares. The bot only does what it needs to connect our Discord server to the Minecraft server.
1What the bot reads
- Messages in bridged channels - the text, your Discord display name and avatar, so they can be shown in-game. That's the chat channel in the official server, and the team chat channel in a team's own server if the team added the bot. The bot only reads the specific channels it bridges, not the rest of a server.
- Button clicks and commands you use with the bot.
The bot doesn't read your direct messages, track whether you're online, or collect member lists.
2What the bot posts
The bot posts Minecraft information into our Discord server: in-game chat (with Minecraft usernames and heads), deaths, joins and leaves, advancements and the player list. Some staff-only channels also receive moderation information, such as staff command logs, death reports, team chat and private messages, so staff can investigate reports. Only staff can see those channels.
3Direct messages
If you linked your Discord account on the website, the bot uses your Discord user ID to send you a direct message when staff reply to your ticket. You can unlink your Discord account on the website at any time.
4What's stored
- Chat relayed from Discord becomes part of the server's chat logs, which staff use for moderation.
- Your Discord user ID is stored only if you linked it on the website (see the website privacy policy).
- Information about team chats - which Discord server and channel belong to which in-game team.
We never sell or share this information for advertising.
5Who it's shared with
Everything the bot sends goes through Discord, so Discord's own privacy policy applies to it too. Chat from Discord is shown to players on the Minecraft server. We share nothing else, except where the law requires it.
6How long we keep it
Chat logs and moderation records are kept as long as they're needed to moderate the server and handle appeals. You can delete your own messages on Discord, but a copy may already have been shown or logged in-game.
7Your rights
You can ask us what we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by opening a ticket at onelifehardcore.net/tickets. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights, including complaining to your local data protection authority.
8Changes to this policy
We'll announce significant changes to this policy in our Discord server.
