Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the One Life Hardcore website collects, why we need it, who can see it and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it to what's needed to run the server and keep it fair.
1Who is responsible
One Life Hardcore, run by its owner IkBrian, is responsible for the information described here. You can reach us through a ticket at onelifehardcore.net/tickets or in our Discord server.
2What we collect
When you make an account
- Your username, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash - we can't see it).
- If you link them: your Minecraft username and UUID, and your Discord user ID, username and avatar.
- For staff: two-factor authentication settings, and the name, date and IP address recorded when they sign the staff agreements.
When you use the website
- Tickets, appeals and applications you send, including attachments, and staff replies.
- Wiki edits, comments, reports and uploaded images.
- Basic visit logs kept by our web server: IP address, the page visited, time, browser type and the page you came from. We use these for security and simple visitor statistics - there's no tracking script and no advertising.
From the Minecraft server
- Gameplay information linked to your Minecraft account: playtime, statistics, ranks, deaths (cause, time, location and inventory at death), and connection quality at the time.
- In-game chat, team chat and private messages, and moderation history (warnings, mutes, kicks, bans and eliminations).
From Tebex
- When you buy something: your Minecraft username, what you bought, the amount and the date. Tebex handles the payment itself - we never see your card or bank details.
3Why we use it
- To run your account and the server - logging in, linking accounts, giving you your ranks and purchases.
- To keep the server fair and safe - moderation, investigating reports and appeals, stopping cheating, ban evasion and abuse.
- To support you - answering tickets and letting you know when staff reply (by email or a Discord message, if you linked Discord).
- To show public game information - see below.
- To keep the website secure and working - preventing attacks and spam, and understanding how it's used.
We rely on running the service you signed up for, our legitimate interest in keeping the server safe and fair, and, where needed, your consent. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.
4What's shown publicly
Some game information is public on the website: your Minecraft username and head, rank, playtime, statistics and leaderboard positions, and deaths (cause and date). Wiki edits and comments show the name you made them under. Your email address, IP address, private messages and tickets are never public.
5Who can see it
Staff can see what they need for their role in the admin panel - for example tickets, chat logs and moderation history. Every staff member signs a confidentiality agreement, and access to sensitive information (like email addresses and private messages) is limited to the roles that need it. Staff actions are logged.
6Services we use
We share information only with the services needed to run One Life Hardcore:
- Our hosting provider - runs our servers and the website, located in the United Kingdom.
- Tebex - processes store payments.
- Discord - when you link your Discord account or use our Discord server and bot.
- Resend - sends our emails (like confirming your email address).
- mc-heads.net and Google Fonts - your browser loads Minecraft heads and fonts from these, which means they see your IP address.
We'll also share information if the law requires it.
7Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you logged in. Some settings (like which tabs you had open) are remembered in your browser's local storage. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
8How long we keep it
- Login sessions expire after 30 days.
- Website visit statistics are deleted after 180 days.
- Account information is kept while you have an account.
- Moderation records, tickets about rule breaks and staff agreement signatures can be kept longer, even after you ask us to delete your account, so we can enforce bans and handle appeals fairly.
9Your rights
You can ask us to show you the information we have about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for a particular purpose. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU or UK), you may have further rights, including complaining to your local data protection authority. Open a ticket at onelifehardcore.net/tickets to make a request - we may need to confirm it's really you first.
10Children
The website is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child under 13 has made an account, let us know and we'll remove it.
11Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when what we collect or how we use it changes, and announce significant changes on the website or Discord.
