One Life Hardcore SMP has only been around for a short time, but it already has a story. This page keeps track of the biggest moments in the server's history, from the very first day to today.
Built From the Ground Up#
One Life Hardcore SMP is made from the ground up. Around 90% of the plugins are custom-made to fit the one life style, from the death and revive system to teams, ranks and the website itself.

The Launch#
One Life Hardcore SMP officially started on August 31st, 2026. The first world used custom generation for the Overworld, the Nether and the End: huge mountains, custom trees, beautiful terrain and winding rivers.
It looked stunning, but it soon became clear that it wasn't the right fit. Too many players joined, took one look at the terrain and decided it wasn't for them. For a server where your one life is everything, the world itself was getting in the way of the experience.
The Vote#
On September 8th, the community was asked to decide what should happen next. The poll had four options:
- A one-time full reset of the server
- Keep the current experience as it was
- Remove the custom Nether
- Add a way to transfer from the custom world to a regular Overworld, and retire the custom world generation
The Reset#
The community chose a one-time full reset. On September 9th, 2026, the server had its first reset and returned to vanilla Minecraft world generation.
ImportantThis was the first and only reset One Life Hardcore SMP will ever have. The world you play in today is the world that stays.
Halloween 2026#
On October 1st, the first Halloween event began, and it lasts until November 1st. Something new walks the Overworld after dark... if you're brave enough to go looking for it.
