Your gear remembers its story. Weapons, tools and armor on One Life track who made or found them and what they've done - shown right on the item when you hover over it. It's fully automatic: no commands, nothing to set up.
Where an item came from#
Every tracked item gets an origin line the first time it's made or found, and it never changes after that:
- Crafted by player - crafted at a workbench, or bought from a villager.
- Found by player - looted from a chest, barrel, shulker box or other container, picked up off the ground, dropped by a mob you killed, or fished up as treasure.
Below it is the matching Crafted on or Found on date.
What gets tracked#
| Item | Tracked on the item |
|---|---|
| ⚔️ Weapons - swords, axes, hoes, spears, trident, bow, crossbow, mace | Damage Done · Mob Kills · Player Kills · Ender Dragons, Withers, Elder Guardians and Wardens killed |
| 🔱 Thrown trident | Damage Done and kills count on the trident itself |
| ⛏️ Tools - pickaxes, shovels, axes, hoes, shears | Blocks Mined |
| ✂️ Shears | Blocks Mined · Mobs Sheared |
| 🛡️ Armor and shields | Damage Absorbed |
| 🕊️ Elytra | Flight Time |
| 🔥 Flint and Steel | Fires Lit · Portals Lit |
| 🎣 Fishing rod | Fish Caught |
| 🖌️ Brushes, horse, wolf and nautilus armor | Crafted by or Found by |
A stat only appears once it's actually happened - a brand-new sword stays clean until its first kill.
TipBoss kills are counted separately from normal mob kills, so a sword that killed the Ender Dragon proves it.
