Your First Join

Your very first time on One Life Hardcore SMP is set up to give you a fair start.

The Lobby#

Everyone joins through the Lobby first. The very first time, a short intro explains how One Life works. After that you're placed in the queue and sent to the SMP automatically - Voters and supporters get queue priority when the server is full.

Where you spawn#

New players don't all appear at the same spot. You're placed at a random safe location within 2,500 blocks of 0, 0 - on solid ground, never on top of a tree.

Your welcome book#

Every new player gets a welcome book that explains:

• what One Life is and how permadeath works,
• survival tips for your first hours,
• every command you can use, sorted by rank,

plus a blank book and quill to write your own story. A short welcome in chat points you to the book and to /ol.

When the welcome book gets a new edition, everyone can claim one new copy with /welcomebook.

What to do next#

1. Read the server rules.
2. Link your Minecraft account to the website with /link - you'll need it for tickets, the wiki and more.
3. Type /ol to see every command you can use.
4. Write your will - just in case.
5. Vote for the server to earn the Voter rank for 24 hours.
