How to Write a Player Story

Every life on One Life Hardcore SMP is a story. A wild escape, a rivalry that went too far, a run that ended with one heart left... Player Stories is where the community writes them down, so they're remembered.

Before You Start#

Log in to your website account and make sure your email is verified. You need both to create wiki pages.
Gather what you have. Screenshots, clips, your memory of exactly what happened. The details make a story.

Writing Your Story#

Press New page at the top of the wiki.
Give it a title that makes people want to read it, like The Night the Warden Woke Up or Three Hearts in the Nether.
Pick Player Stories as the category.
Write your story. Use the template below if you're not sure where to start.
Press Save. Your page is live straight away.

The Template#

## The setup
Where were you, what were you trying to do, who was with you?

## What happened
Tell it step by step - the more detail, the better.

## The ending
Did you make it out? What did you learn?

## Screenshots
(Drag your images in here.)

TipStories about other players are welcome, but keep it fair. If someone else plays a big part, it's nice to ask them first or let them add their side.

A Few Rules#

True stories from One Life only.
No bullying. Funny is fine, mean isn't.
Spoiler-free deaths? Not needed. On a hardcore server, everyone knows how stories can end.
