How to Write a Memorial

On One Life Hardcore SMP, death is permanent. Player Memorial is where we remember the players we've lost: friends, teammates, rivals and legends. A memorial is a tribute written by the people who knew them.

NoteEvery death already gets an automatic page in Deaths with the cause and stats. A memorial is different: it's about the person and their story, written by the community.

Before You Start#

• Log in to your website account and make sure your email is verified. You need both to create wiki pages.
• Check first. Someone may already have written a memorial for them. If so, add your memories to that page or leave a comment.

Writing a Memorial#

1. Press New page at the top of the wiki.
2. Title it with their name, like In Memory of PlayerName.
3. Pick Player Memorial as the category.
4. Write your tribute. Use the template below if you're not sure where to start.
5. Press Save. The page is live straight away.

The Template#

## Who they were
How long they played, what they were known for, what they loved doing.

## Their story
Their best builds, greatest moments, the adventures you shared.

## How they fell
A short note on their final moments - the Deaths page has the details.

## Remembered by
Your name, and anyone else who wants to sign.

TipAdd screenshots of their builds or of you playing together. They mean a lot to the people who knew them.

A Few Rules#

• Be respectful. A memorial is a tribute, never a place to mock someone's death.
• Ask first if you can. If the player is still around on Discord, it's nice to let them know or let them add to it.
• Revived? Players who get revived keep their memorial as part of their story.
