IkBrianIt's been a busy few weeks behind the scenes! This update brings a brand-new look for the website, the first preview of the One Life Hardcore Wiki, a round of performance fixes, bigger world borders and a long list of fixes to item statistics and Discord.

💻 Website UI Revamp
We've completely revamped the One Life Hardcore SMP website! Every page has been improved, making it cleaner, easier to navigate and more enjoyable to use.
- 🏠 The Home page has been redesigned from the ground up
- ℹ️ The Server Info page now has everything about the server in one place
- 📐 Every page has a wider, cleaner layout
🎫 Ticket Ratings
Need help from the staff team? Our ticketing system got some love too. Once your ticket is handled, you can now rate your experience. This helps us gather feedback on both:

📖 One Life Hardcore Wiki
The online preview of the One Life Hardcore Wiki is now here! 🎉 Mechanics, commands, guides and server history, all in one place.
Since this is still a preview, players can't create or edit pages yet. However, one feature is already available:
💀 Automatic Death Pages
Players who have played for at least 5 hours before their death automatically get a death page on the Wiki. Died before reaching the 5-hour requirement? You can still create your own page.
- 🔄 Revived players automatically have their death page removed.
- 📜 Wills (a player's final message) only become visible on the Wiki 7 days after their death. This gives players enough time to appeal their death before their page and will are shown for good.
🚧 The Wiki is still a very early work in progress, and we'll be updating it daily as we build it out. We're aiming for a full release in about 2 days. 👀
⚡ Server Performance
We've recently noticed a large number of ping spikes on the server. After investigating, we found the cause and made several changes to improve server stability:
- ⚙️ Updated several of our custom plugins
- 💾 Increased the Minecraft auto-save interval to help reduce TPS drops
- 🔍 Started closely monitoring server performance every day
📉 Mob Caps
We previously raised the mob caps to bring more life into the world, but due to performance issues we've lowered them again:
- 💀 Monsters: 70 → 50
- 🐮 Animals: 10 → 5
- 💧 Water Ambient: 20 → 10
- 🌫️ Ambient: 15 → 10
📏 Render Distance
- ⚙️ Simulation Distance: 8 → 10
- 👁️ View Distance: 10 (we tried 14, but turned it back to 10 for now due to performance)
Higher mob caps and render distances are great for gameplay, but server stability comes first. We'll keep a close eye on performance and adjust these values again if we can.
⚠️ Experiencing server-side lag or unusual ping spikes? Let the staff team know with a ticket or on Discord so we can investigate.
🌎 World & Gameplay
🗺️ Bigger World Borders
The world borders have been significantly expanded, giving you much more room to explore and build:
- 🟢 Overworld: 600,000 × 600,000
- 🔴 Nether: 75,000 × 75,000
- 🟣 End: 100,000 × 100,000
💀 Wither Guard
We've introduced a new Wither protection zone around spawn. Withers can no longer be spawned within a 10,000 × 10,000 block area around 0,0. This protects the central world from large-scale Wither damage, while still letting you use Withers further away from spawn.
🚧 Redstone & Duplication
Several vanilla duplication mechanics have been enabled:
- 🛤️ TNT rail duping
- 🐑 Carpet duping
- ⛏️ Bedrock breaking
- ⬇️ Falling block duplication through End portals
We've also fixed fishing rod stasis chambers.
🔥 Nether Roof for Bedrock
Bedrock players can now properly access the Nether roof without getting stuck, and can build on it too. The one downside: the ambient Nether fog is no longer present for both Java and Bedrock players.
⚠️ Anti Pie Chart
Since some people apparently don't like listening to the rules... 👀 we've implemented a new Anti Pie Chart system.
The Pie Chart can be used to gather information that isn't meant to be available to players, so its use is prohibited on One Life Hardcore SMP. Have fun. 😈
📊 Item Statistics
We've fixed and improved a large number of item statistics across the server. Some of the fixes include:

- 🔍 Found / crafted by
- 🐟 Fish caught
✂️ Shears
- 🔍 Found / crafted by
- ⛏️ Blocks mined
- 🐑 Mobs sheared
And that's only a small selection: a ton of other item statistics and tracking issues have been fixed as well.
🤖 Discord & Chat
We've made a large number of improvements to our Discord integration and webhooks. Discord now correctly displays:
- 📥 Custom join messages
- 📤 Custom leave messages
- 💬 Server messages
- 🌐 Website messages
- 🖥️ Discord messages
Messages sent between the website, Discord and the Minecraft server now correctly show where they came from. These improvements are also part of several new staff features and backend improvements.
📦 Shulker Box Item Display
Using [item] on a Shulker Box now shows a menu with the Shulker Box's contents, instead of just the Shulker Box itself.
