Halloween Has Arrived, the Wiki Is Open & New Store

Something has changed on One Life Hardcore SMP. 🎃 The nights feel longer, the fields feel emptier… and we're not entirely sure everything out there is on our side anymore. On top of that, the Wiki is now fully open for everyone to write in, and there's a brand-new Store page. Here's what's new (well, most of it 👀).

🎃 Halloween Has Arrived…

We could tell you exactly what's been added for Halloween. We won't. 😈

What we can tell you is that new creatures now walk the overworld after dark. Some of them you'll hear before you see. Some of them you'll see… and wish you hadn't. Each one guards a unique trophy you won't find anywhere else, and they only drop it once.

A few things we've overheard around spawn:

🕯️ "Not everyone who fell this season has truly left."

🌾 "Don't trust anything standing still in a field at night."

✨ "If a light ever drifts away from you… think twice before following it."

🕸️ "Something big has been weaving webs out there. And she isn't alone."

⚔️ Who Do They Come For?

They only show themselves to players wearing at least 2 pieces of diamond or netherite armour. Still in iron? Consider yourself spared… for now.

🎃 Not your thing? Type /halloweenmobs off and they'll leave you alone. Ready to face them after all? /halloweenmobs on.

📖 The Wiki Is Now Open!

The preview is over: the One Life Hardcore Wiki is now open for everyone to write in! 🎉 Create pages, improve existing ones and help build the ultimate guide to the server.

✍️ How to Get Started

• 🔑 Log in to your website account and make sure your email is verified
• ➕ Press New page, or Edit page on any page you want to improve
• 🗂️ Pick a category for your page

🗂️ What Can You Write About?

These categories are open for everyone:

• 🏰 Builds & Bases: show off your base, megabuild or hidden hideout
• ⚙️ Farms & Redstone: share your farm designs and redstone contraptions
• 👥 Teams: a page for your team, its members and its history
• 📜 Player Stories: your adventures, close calls and legendary moments
• 🏛️ Server History: the big events that shaped the server

The official categories (Getting Started, Gameplay & Mechanics, Custom Features, Commands and Guides & Tips) are kept up to date by the staff team.

💀 Death Pages

Know what happened when someone died? Add the story to their death page so their legacy lives on.

📜 Every edit is saved in the page history, so nothing is ever lost. Spotted vandalism or wrong info? Use the Report this page button and the staff team will take a look. Keep it friendly: the server rules apply on the Wiki too.

✨ Wiki Upgrades

The Wiki also got a big round of improvements, plus a lot of new pages.

• 🔎 Search suggestions: results appear while you type in any Wiki search bar (categories, pages and death pages). Use the arrow keys and Enter to jump straight there
• 📑 Contents that jump: click a heading in the contents on the left and you're taken straight to that section
• 👤 Hover cards: hover over a contributor's head, "Made by" or "Edited by" to see who they are and their rank
• 📌 Pinned pages: the most important pages, like the Welcome page and the Server Rules, now sit at the top
• 🚩 Report this page: on every Wiki page and death page, straight to staff
• 📊 Better comparison tables, and buttons inside pages that link straight to the right place

• 🔗 Article links now follow the title, and old links keep working

🛒 New Store Page

There's now a Store page in the menu bar, between Wiki and Tickets. It shows the Rare, Epic and Mythic supporter ranks:

• 🟦 Rare: €10
• 🟪 Epic: €20
• 🟨 Mythic: €30

Death messages on Discord have taken on a… seasonal colour. 🎃

• 🔐 Staff accounts are now protected with two-factor login
• 🛡️ New staff tools to keep the Wiki clean and handle reports faster
